Tiit HärmIn ballet, I am fascinated by the dominating effort to create harmony between musical and terpsichorean dramaturgy and scenography that allows producing performances that goal is to open human psychology and characters in poetic-realistic on-stage situations.

Ballet requires a dancer – an actor who is capable of creating realistic personas by using means and methods that are characteristic of dancing. The dancer – an actor is first and foremost a human being who has the need to speak from the stage about one’s own self, as well as other people. This means trying to find one’s own self in them and their feelings in one’s art. It is just ballet that allows the human personality to manifest oneself and this is just one’s mission.

Every artist is guided by one’s own personal fantasy when creating work of art, an artist senses time in one’s own way and expresses it in these forms that most comply with one’s own individuality.
I like classical dance, which is the most conscious and the most perfect version of ballet’s language system. This system is capable of absorbing whatever experimental trends and thereby ensures a continuous progress, becoming enriched on their basis.

Our ballet theatre wishes to offer the public experience and sharing the joy of dancing that is in our body and soul.

  • The Lady of the Camellias

Neoclassical choreography combined with Ferenc Liszt’s music allowed the maestro to create a delicate ballet about the tragic events in Alexandre Dumas novel of the same name.

Tiit HärmThe story of Marguerite – first and foremost a drama of the struggling soul, loneliness and love.
The nuances of feelings, the rich colours of a state of mind, the wide spectrum of emotions, the search for harmony, the pain, the tragedy, the beauty of hope and love – these phenomena captivated me to create the choreographic score of this story.
I was also fascinated by a quality that is extremely rare – the ability to put the interests and the future of another human being ahead of your own. There is something admirable about it.

  • Swan Lake

„Swan Lake“ has been performed on the ballet stages of the world for more than 130 years. The genius of Tchaikovsky embedded a timeless emotional-psychological charge into the music that has reached a popularity of almost too-frequent perfomance.

Tiit HärmThe forever-human qualities of love and death, good and evil, loyality and betrayal, dreams and reality, fairy tale and psuchological reality interwiene in the „Swan Lake“.
Each stage director constructs the story on the basis of individual fantasies. I was inspired by the brilliant music of Tchaikovsky and attempted to find a solution from his musical ideas. He was inspired by his own fate and not by other specific persons. Tchaikovsky believed in consoling beauty that stood up against the wrong and the cruel.
What is the swan lake? It is Prince Siegfried`s dreamland, where he could find harmony.
Prience has created for himself the ideal of love, who is the priencess of the swan lake. To Siegfried she is the symbol of noblemindedness. But the most important for me is - the swan is the personification of the beauty of a soul.
It seems to me that this story reflects the inner journey of all of us. It is not important for me what happened yesterday, but what is taking place inside you right now. Ihope this pefomancecan touch everybody`s soul strings.
